IELTS preparation course in Odessa

The course is for students who wish to prepare themselves for an international IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam. The exam is the British equivalent to TOEFL in theUS, the majority of western universities as well as all MBA programmes consider both certificates of the same value. The IELTS Certificate is a must for students who wish to study in western educational establishments, and is also compulsory for any visa application in embassies ofCanada,AustraliaandNew Zealand.

IELTS can be of two modules: Academic module, designed to assess language skills in specific branches of science (law, medicine etc.), and General Training Module which is a universal test on general topics. The exam comprises four different parts: listening, reading, writing and speaking. The Certificate is valid within a two years’ term.

The IELTS intensive preparation course (2.5-4 months) designed by ETC Lardan aims to increase students’ exam format and structure awareness, analyze common mistakes, implement techniques that help you improve your results. Before the course students are asked to pass our diagnostic test. The minimum required level for students to enroll for the programme is Intermediate.

The curriculum gives students an opportunity to boost the skills required for successful exam tasks completion.

The key features of the course are as follows:

-          Pre-Test (placement test) meant to state the potential to pass the exam;

-          The quantity of students doesn’t exceed 8 persons in a group;

-          The work on eliminating the basic gaps in our students’ knowledge of lexis and grammar;

-          Systematic work on four language macro skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking);

-          Review of the exam format;

-          Completion of two pre-tests;

-          Intensive work on exam tasks completion;

-          An opportunity to work with latter day teaching materials.

The duration of the course is 57 hours. There is an extra option of individual classes or online classes (by Skype).
