Teachers’ training camp on methodology of English and other foreign languages

Teachers’ training camp is a unique event combining teaching from experienced tutors (CELTA, CPE) with a rest in the magnificent city of Odessa and interaction with colleagues from other regions of Ukraine.
The curriculum touches upon the basic aspects of methodology of teaching foreign language. The work is arranged in two groups:
- Teachers of English (communication is in English)
- Teachers of other foreign languages (communication in Russian)
The man objective of the course is to enrich teachers’ portfolio with latter-day methods, used in the Communicative approach.
The curriculum contains the following topics:
- review of the key issues related to language skills and systems;
- comparative analysis of resources and teaching materials that teachers can apply in teaching process;
- psychological aspects of second language acquisition, keeping students’ attention high, building the system of relationship ‘teacher-student’
On completion of the module teachers will be able to:
- foresee any possible problems that usually appear in the teaching process
- state the prevailing type of motivation of students and enhance the motivation to foreign language teaching
- optimize the teaching process taking into account the contemporary teaching methods
- apply the latter-day techniques of interactive teaching (the Cambridge approach)
The course takes place several times a year. The duration of the programme is 5 days. The venue for the module is our office in Odessa. On our customers’ demand we can also organize teaching modules in Dnepropetrovsk and other cities of Ukraine.
